PLCC.lv participated in the “Improving the Business Environment” conference initiated by the Vice Mayor of Riga. Embassy representatives from 5 embassies and 10 trade chambers and honorary consuls gathered together. A good start for a good continuation.
As I noted in my speech:
“For us entrepreneurs and the entrepreneurial organization, it is important to be close to the decisions that affect the city’s economy and development, but we are also important to you, as business taxes support not only the city and state administration but also our common prosperity. The city’s life and growth depend directly on our dialogue and its regularity.
To avoid reinventing the bicycle, you write and call sister cities to find out their experiences on various issues; we are also ready to listen to your ideas and come up with initiatives and suggestions ourselves. Like others present here, we are also happy to offer and help facilitate faster communication with Polish state and local government authorities. While politicians think, we act, and this synergy only enriches us. We need to be like Yin and Yang, different but united.”
